Theatre Kids.....
What core classes did you get? Have you found your monologue yet? Any other random questions?

Ughhhhh, no. It's taking me sooo long to find my new monologue! What about you?
My core is What's Your Act.
How long has everyone been acting?

Re: Theatre Kids.....
Yeah my first play was the summer after fifth. I was Nurse DuFarge in Bedside Manor.
Re: Theatre Kids.....
My core class is The Basic Actor's Toolkit. I think I have found a good monologue but I haven't read the play yet. Besides church christmas plays, my first play was in third grade. I did a play at the Barter Stage 2 called Winnie the Pooh. I played the part of Tigger. I had about 2 lines near the very end, but it was such a blast.

I haven't found a monologue that I like yet, I have a back up but its about a gold fish.hehe. I'm in What's Your Act? and I haven't been involved in theater until my sophomore year! I've played Minnie Fay in Hello, Dolly! and Ms. Hannigan in Annie.

Re: Theatre Kids.....
I found a monologue, and it's a change for me because it's not some huge vibrant piece like I usually do (like a Fetus about to born). It's more subtle and I really like it. Can't wait to work on it with you guys.
ANYWAY, I started back in 6th grade as King Duncan in Macbeth the Musical Comedy, but I started to love theater the summer before ninth grade as Doody in a community theater production of Grease.
Oh, and I got Actor's Tool Kit (kind of wishing I did Mining the Text Now).

I'm in Actor's Tool Kit-- and yes, I'm still searching for a monologue. I found one that could work, but I am unsure if I will use it or not.
I started acting in 6th grade as a singing tuna. Yes, I'm serious. A singing tuna

Oh Billy, I would love to see that. You'll definitely have to perform that for us!
Oh! We should all perform our audition pieces for eachother one day!

Re: Theatre Kids.....
She's right, Billy -- you MUST do that piece for us. If I needed any greater motivation to be at Governor's School this summer, the chance to witness this bit of acting would surely provide it. Be prepared to share your gift!

Good news guys, I think I FINALLY found my new monologue. It kinda makes me sad because I really LOVED my audition piece.

Thank you! I was hoping I could play a birthing fetus once again! You, sir, have truly answered my prayers.
And Libby, since you loved it so much, I guess we'll just have to hear your original audition piece as well

Man that's nothing, Fetus Monologues come a dime a dozen!!!
Man, Billy if you actually did that for us I'd give you a high-5.
I think I have my monologue.... It's from the crucible...but I'm still looking around....
I'm in actor's toolkit, though I wish I could've done all of them!
My first play was Annie in Annie I was 8. Though I was so upset because I really wanted to be Ms. Hannegin and somehow my 8 year old mind didn't register they'd want an adult for that part. So I cried when I found out I was Annie....
