Lol.
I doubt any of your ideas are that bad. If you look at it, there are 400 of us, I doubt everyone is going to dress up anyway. I have costumes for all but the Holidays. All I'm doing for it is making a t-shirt that says I love chickens on it with a picture of a chicken for International Respect for Chickens day. lol

Haha.
Yeah, but you should totally do something, even if you think it's lame. lol.

Re: Packing Lists!
I'm making my Official List right now. As in, if I want/need to go out and get something for Summer Gov, I need to cite it on my list and give it to my mom by the time she gets home from work.
Let's just say, it isn't going so great. I'm getting that naggling "you forgot something obvious" feeling.

Re: Packing Lists!
Every night last week I had a dream that I got there and forgot to pack like everything. I woke up one morning and made the "official list" then googled "what to bring to college and edited it and added to my list. haha I think I was subconciously freaking out about forgetting stuff!!

I just had a dream like that! it was horrible.
I couldnt find my dorm, my first clas had five people in it, and we sat on the floor. I couldn't stay awake for some reason and got in trouble. Then since I couldnt find my dorm, I left my luggage in some corner, and it disappeared later so I had nothing

Re: Packing Lists!
A couple of random thoughts. (I haven't read through the entire thread in a while, so forgive me if these were already covered.)
Bring a watch. No bells will ring to tell you it is time to go someplace. And you can't check your phone to see what time it is...
I believe there is a trash can provided by summer conferences in each room, though an extra for the bathroom or another convenient spot in the room could be nice.
A beach towel or blanket for outside. We are going to an outdoor concert and students have also been known to hang out on campus on the green in the evenings during "study/practice" time.

Re: Packing Lists!
Oh! On the topic of towels--if you can spare the room, bring a few extra towels so that you don't have to wash 'em every other day. When I go off to running camp, we use towels a lot. They can get really really really nasty if the ground is wet. I will bring my Winnie-the-Pooh towel and my Teletubbies towel. Good stuff.
It also occurred to me to bring spare batteries for my alarm clock. (If something can go wrong with what I pack, it will go wrong.)

Re: Packing Lists!
haha i somehow found a trunk (like harry potter) with wheels that i am going to try to cram as much fragile stuff into as possible, also i am bringing a couple pen-drives for music and to upload photos onto so i dont have to spend a ton on extra memory cards. and overpakcing is always part of it haha ill probably end up with way more than i could ever possibly use but better safe than sorry?

Re: Packing Lists!
I don't have a trunk But I'm using those tubberware bins, which function in about the same way, except they are a great deal less cool. Tubberwares are nice because they stack in a corner, and if you get the right see-through ones, you will never have to dig around for something that's not really in there!
I'm packing my clothes in a bag. A bag. Wish me luck

Re: Packing Lists!
I'm glad i'm not the only one who plans on overpacking.
I'm also packing a surge bar with extra outlet plugs in case I need to plug in an extra lamp or my camera charger and whatnot.
And I, also, am more than happy to help with laundry.
