I am a drama kid willingly going to a Military College Prep School for my Senior year.
How contradictory is that?

Haha one day while I was in NYC I decided I was going to be cool and get a work out. So instead of taking the elevator down to the ground floor from my like 38th storty room I decided to take the stairs...
long story short, the stairwell was like this huge maze and none of the doors were unlocked and most didn't even have opening handles. The floors that I could get on were under construction. I was stuck in the stairwell for half an hour going up and down trying to get out. Luckily, on one of the construction floors there was this construction worker who helped me and moved all the construction stuff and let me get on the elevator.
so yeah....i prefer not stairs unless I can see the bottom (sorry long ramble)
Hah. 38 stories- I think I would go with the elevator.
Don't have an issue with those, unless someone is jumping in it.

I don't know though... elevators in new york, from my experience, are really really tiny and a ton of people try to squish themselves into them. It's not something for the claustrophobic.

I agree.
Of course, at school, we try to fit as many as we can into the elevator since it's only one floor, and we can't do but so much damage. lol

Re: We're all a little quircky!
For me, if I can see the bottom floor on the stairs, it freaks me out. I'm convinced that it's a product of climbing a lighthouse in the fifth grade. I never got over that fear of falling from many floors up. I can't take spiral staircases, or the steps with no covering between the individual platforms.
Danielle--I just found out that our school elevator can hold "16 people". I love how they don't specify what types of people. 16 skinny kids? 16 fat gym teachers? 16 normal sized students with a book cart that weighs 2 tons? Ha ha, our school is 3 stories tall; I wouldn't try and risk the book cart!

Natalie Zhen- Yeah. We can't use the one at my base school unless you are injured, but at my Gov. School, the most we have been able to get is 22. It's a little glass one. We only have 30 students in our class, so that's about all we can catch at a time. lol.

Re: We're all a little quircky!
I can empathize with all the klutzes here... I bump into doors b/c I time it wrong and don't open them fast enough.
Probobally my biggest idyoscynracy is that I don't really have much of a filter from my brain to my mouth. So bluntness and saying things at an inopportune time is often something I find myself doing...
Also can't stand when ppl say "legit" etc.
Oh and as for just wierdness... I like to watch clocks when they turn from like 2:59 to 3:00 or 11:11....
You know I have a feeling I do A LOT of wierd things, but I'm not aware of them...
I know I can't get out of bed with one foot first I have to put both feet on the ground simoltaniously...

I have very little filter....I tend to ramble a lot (anyone who's talked to me at all had probably gathered that)
Sorry.....I say legit, not a lot but my bff says it and I've picked it up. But I'll do my best
I love 11:11....I always make a wish

I also take out my cell phone and just look at it whenever I'm in an awkward location (really close to a stranger, for example).

I get on the Governor's School message boards when I should be studying for Biology.
And I too look at my cell phone when I'm in an awkward location.

The filter will be a big problem here too... especially since I get louder as my thoughts get more inappropriate...
And, a tell tale sign that I'm nervous.... I bite my lip. (just thought of that one.)

When I'm nervous I do the classic biting nails. I actually am now trying to regrow them after exams.
Oh, I also cannot be with the vicinity of a rolling chair with out being in it. One of the computer labs at my school had 1 rolling chair and everyone in all of my classes knew that the chair was MINE! I even knocked someone out of it once.

Hahaha... we had two rolling chairs in the chemistry room, all of the girls would literally fight for them. It was quite hilarious, I tried to stay out of the massacre.

Ahh the old "I'm texting so don't bug me trick."
Another one of my weird quirks is that I have to create a name for EVERYTHING. Such as above. It's sad, especially when they get to be twenty to thirty words long.

I definitely do the fake texting thing too. A phone is a very great to have around creepy people. More than once ive had to talk into a phone when no one was on the other end. the line. . .yeah dad i will be right there. . . is quite a good way to stop wierd stranger guys from following you. haha just make sure your phone doesnt start ringing in the middle of a fake conversation. . .thats awkward lmao.

I'm not that interesting to have any quirks.
Well. I am really sarcastic. That's about the only thing 'interesting' or 'quirky' about me, because the rest of my personality has been taken over by various and assorted water related sports. And school work.

As far as my hair goes, I have been every single color of the rainbow.
And I shaved my head at 16 (for a cancer society).

You shaved your head? I wish I was brave enough to do that. Sadly, I fear that if I cut mine it will never grow long again. My mother cut her hair and it turned into a fro. Actually, quite like that.

Re: We're all a little quircky!
Lol, thanks.
I was soooo nervous! I was the only girl in my entire student to do it. There were 9 people to shave their head, including me. We did at a school basketball game during halftime. A lot of people didn't believe me. It was an impulse decision I made in November.
February rolled around and it was time. I walked up to the stool, sat down, and EVERYBODY came rushing down and circled me. Mind you, there was well over 2000 people at that game.
I made the front page of the newspaper. We raised so much money. Our goal was $1000, and we raised over $2000.

Wow, did you raise it for a specific cancer society?
