Kanye West is where it's at. "Paranoid" and "RoboCop".
"I Wanna Hold Your Hand" is the best by the Beatles.
I'm currently listening to "Black & Gold" by Sam Sparro at the moment.

I LIVE for alternative rock so I think this thread is the best thing ever. My favorite band right now is Radiohead but some of my other faves are Nirvana, Sonic Youth, REM, the Pixies, Pavement, Blur, the beatles, and pink floyd.

Well, as far as bands go I've really gotten into ABBA and I really like fleetwood mac, lady antebellum, Vota, and the fray. My favorite singers would be Nat King Cole, Reba, Midhael Buble, Sarah Reeves, Yolanda Adams, Rod Stewart, and others.

my favorite rapper is either kanye west (duh), common, or lupe fiasco. but i tend to not listen to just rap. but i do like hiphop.
my favorite bands are for sure: coldplay, keane, and goldfrapp. i also like fleet foxes, the killers, vampire weekend, the shins, and many more.
my favorite solo singer is... utada hikaru.... i'm kinda obsessed with her.... also i love madonna, feist, kt tunstall, and leigh nash.

Even though I was like 2 when Kurt died. =(

Regina Spektor, Bright Eyes, The Beatles (lots of fans! woo!), Coldplay, Andrew Bird, Sufjan Stevens, Damien Rice, anything on the radio, are all favorites, but I'll listen to anything. Rock, pop, indie, folk, country, rap, hip hop, dance, electronic, experimental, oldies, jazz, latin, whatever sounds wonderful. But don't forget composers! Classical is fantastic. Saint-Saens, Dvorak, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Rachmaninov, Wagner, all that goodness My iPod is schizophrenic

My favorite would be between The Shins, The Killers, and No Doubt, but I also really like MGMT, Vampire Weekend, MIA, Snow Patrol, etc. there are a lot more, but those are some of my top ones.

Yeah, I'm familiar with a lot of artists that are under the radar, mostly from the indie/folk genre, but a little bit of everything. My friends and I mix CDs for each other to introduce one another to new music. That's how I discovered Damien Rice and Andrew Bird, among many others.

Yessss! I am definitely obsessed with her. I have all her albums (digitally, that is) and a whole bunch of unreleased demo tracks or live feeds. Basically, any song she has ever sang, I have on my iPod. She's incredible! "Us" is one of my favorites.
