Packing Lists!

Maybe I'm being too hasty, but I've already started making my packing list. I'm so excited! What has made your lists? How in the world are we going to tote all this stuff to CNU!?

Feel free to post drafts of packing lists, recommendations for fun items, and suggestions for lists that have been posted.

Also, it would be nice for arts students to find clarification on what individuals need to bring for themselves.

I LOVE PACKING! I actually pack incredibly light, so no worries on how to tote stuff... and yeah I'm going to start my packing list as soon as I'm done with this history assignment.... oh and I'm pretty sure that "going away for a month" translates as "I'm going to buy you clothes" in Mother language. So YAY!

Wah, I want new clothes! I mean, I have plenty, but that's mainly because I stopped growing. My mom buys me the clothes I need (so I don't run around nakie) but I have to buy the clothes that I just want. Because I can still wear shorts from 6th grade, I don't get to go on shopping sprees too often.

I'm also having to negotiate what clothes I can mooch off my sister for a whole month.

Running group--how many pairs of running shorts and t-shirts are you packing? I'm thinking of packing a week's worth and just doing laundry regularly. Re-wearing sweaty stuff is a no-no. It's very stinky, crunchy, and gross feeling.

Oh--guys, don't forget deodorant. That would not be cool. To me, it's not super obvious to pack it, even though it's SO important.

i don't know how to do laundry, so i'm trying to figure out a happy medium of clothing amounts so that its not a huge amount, but i don't have to face laundry more than once or twice. also i'm making my mother write down directions, because no matter HOW any times she tells me and shows me, it doesn't stick

haha. I plan on doing laundry often so I dont have to bring a lot. I can always help you out caroline. I do laundry all the time at my house.

girls, I have 3 things to say, shoes, hot clothes, and make-up lol XD

Make sure you bring a watch to GovSchool!!!!!!! Most people are used to using their phone for the time, but since those are not allowed and being on time is so important... Bring a watch!

not to worry ryan those three items are on the top of my list. lol. I'm not gonna lie. I am not a light packer. i pack anything i might even think that i'll think about using or wearing. yeah i know. i'll just stuff it all in the car. . . i just may have to strap myself to the roof to fit it all.

Oh yeah, Bri, you did mention that you wear heels a lot. Hate to disappoint, Ryan, but those three things are near the bottom of my list. I will be condemning you all to my all-purpose converses, my brother's t-shirts, and my naked face. Mwahahahahaha. Well, I'll probably pack more than that, but I'm sure Bri will be more pleasing to look at.

Ah, and my spiffy sports watch. Except the lighty thing died Oh well. I'll have to pack a super loud alarm for shaking me out of heavy-duty REM.

I actually wear heels because they are more comfortable but I will be nothing to look at. Haha. But you go for it Bri!!

Ditto on the alarm clock Natalie, I feel sorry for my roommate because I need an alarm with the decibel level of a foghorn to get my up in the morning! :/

i can't wake up to the beep beep alarm clocks. I have a huge problem with constant repetitive rhythmic sounds (i have ADD) so waking up to alarms is never a good way to start my day. i love my ipod dock alarm where i wake up to music instead.

I have to wake up to a regular beeping alarm clock cause i'll sleep right through the music...it becomes part of whatever im dreaming...lol

i always like having choices of clothes and shoes and stuff so i always overpack

good call on the watches and alarm clocks...i forgot i won't have my phone to do all the stuff >.<

oh and definitely need to bring my instruments haha

I tend to forget I need to pack. I'm so busy getting ready for everybody else to show up, I forget I'm moving away for a month, too!
Luckily, I have accumulated enough Governor's School t-shirts that I can wear a different one each day and still not have worn them all.

wait, we have to bring clothes? you mean this isn't a nudist colony??

i'm bringing tons of clothes because ill need crap clothes to do art in and chillax, but there will be those days where i want to look fresh....
im bringing a whole shower's worth of soaps and stuff. shampoos, conditioners, bar soap, shower gel, acne face wash, lavender soap to clean my feet with, shaving cream, mayonaisse, etc. lol.
and i'm going to bring my nice camera, my gigabank for easy photo storage, and DEF my ipod, obvi, and some speakers
i think i'll bring my tennis racket, like people said earlier when the tennis topic was floating around, and i'm going to bring like 100 pillows.

Caroline - I'm really, really glad that I am not the only person who doesn't know how to do their own laundry. Haha. So MarvelousLight, please count me in for some training sessions as well. Mom's notes will only go so far, I'm afraid. Haha.

Ugh. I always use my phone as my alarm. I hate the normal annoying beep beep ones. I really have no clue what to bring. Camera, Music player, etc.

Does anyone else play field hockey??

I don't know if there are any instrumental kids going for guitar but is anyone else bringing one?
