Which College?

I was just wonderin. We're all either going to college in 2010 or the year after that. So which colleges are you looking at?

My top choice is the Univ. of Rochester.
I'm also looking @ NYU, USC, Fordham, and CNU.

My dream school is Sarah Lawrence.
It's right outside of NYC.

Columbia is currently my dream college.

My parents are paying for a public, in-state school, so with that limitation, my list is as follows:
VTech
William and Mary (if I could get in...)
CNU (pending this summer)
JMU would be aiight. As a back-up, I think. I'm not too, too crazy about it.

I'd love love love to go to NYC or chicago for college but VA is cheaper. If I can though I'm getting out of state....or atleast way away from where I live now

My first choice is definitely UVA.
However, if I don't get in there, I need at least a three state radius between my college and home. So, my second choice is University of Vermont. I guess I'll apply to some other Virginia schools, but if I don't get into UVA, I don't really want to stay in Virginia.

I'm absolutely positively not staying in VA. My second choice is Vassar.

So my college list is pretty long, but I'll post it here anyway for lack of anything better to do until my eye doctor appointment.

It wasn't planned, but most of the places I'm applying to are private institutions, most likely meaning, if I don't get any sort of financial aid or scholarships, my dreams will be crushed. I don't really want to stay in Virginia. I know Virginia has some really top-notch schools, but to be perfectly honest, I'm really tired of this place. Big cities are where it's at. I really doubt I'll get into my first three choices, no matter what they'll always be reach schools. =[

Yeah, NYU and UVA are up there for me too although NYU will cost you an arm, a leg, and your firstborn son.

NYU's propoganda slogan should be "Have the best years of your life here and get an amazing education. Yes...afterwords you may have to live in a cardboard box and eat out of garbage cans for a while as you pay back your student loans....but you'll still have a super cool NYU sweatshirt and diploma!"

I'm not that interesting. My dream college is one right here is VA called Hollins. It's all girls and has a great English program.
My mother won't let me go out of state unless I get a full ride.

i reaalllllly realllllly realllllly REALLLLY want to go to Ohio State University, but its really far away and id have to get a full ride...or a few scholorships

either way ill probably apply to early admissions to William and Mary (really want to go there to)

after that, not to sure, probably just Virginia colleges besides UVA and VAtech (dont want to go to either of those)

haha i never thought i would love it because my parents both went there. but actually im kinda lovin the whole double legacy thing.

University of Hawaii, farthest I can get and still be in the US

hahahah.. look at all the Columbia's! My brother goes there!
would be my dream school. unfortunately i don't think i can get in.
so maybe Barnard, which is right across the street.
or Universtity of CA at Berkeley.
maybe University of Richmond in London.

My dream school right now is Cornell, but unless I can get some like amazing scholarships ill be going instate. Id probably go to either UVA of WandM because they're both fantastic schools, I'm not exactly sure which one I'd rather go to. Its kinda ridiculous cause even though I've lived in VA for 6 years, I have never visited WandM. My third choice for a realisitic school would be Tech.

Wade--Rhode Island School of Design would be awesome. I kind of stalked their admissions website already.

See, RISD has a 5 year dual degree program with Brown! Which is awesome, but you have to apply early decision to both. I was really hoping to get accepted to this (academics and art together are right up my alley), but I can't bring myself to do something so binding. Still, if you go to Brown you can take classes at RISD.

Oh, and according to wikipedia, RISD has the heaviest freshman workload in the nation. Ugh.

I'm almost done rounding out my "to apply" list! I'll post it when it's done : )

Well, what are you guys trying to major in?

I'm thinking, music composition or vocal performance and sociology.

I want to major in theatre and then go and get my masters in that so incase acting doesn't really work out I can always teach theatre at a university.

I want to double major in something with Studio Arts. Probably a science.
