Instruments!

Does anyone else in Humanities play any instruments? I play the electric guitar.......badly.

I attempt to play piano... in fact... I have a lesson in 15 minutes. Bye

I can play one song on the piano that my grandma taught me last summer, and I used to play the clarinet back in my band geek middle school days. A few months ago, I found an old harmonica in my basement, so I play around with that when I'm uber bored. But that's about it for me.

I play the cello.

I've played quite a few instruments in my time.
Violin, Alto Sax, Clarinet, and I can somewhat play the Piano.

I also play drumset and piano! But I play set more.

Hey Zack! I run too (Maggie Walker), but I run reeeeealy slow. I'm sure you need a better pace match ; )

As to instruments, I've been playing piano for 11 years now. My practicing is really irregular and spotty, but it's something that's been in my life for as long as I can remember.

I've played a smiggin of: guitar, recorder, flute, violin, harmonica, spoons...


but music is fun...

I'm not a runner, but I think I'd like to do some form of exercise during Gov. School, so I wouldn't mind running with someone, but it'd have to be someone that doesn't want to go to fast, b/c I'm slow as hell, judging that I haven't really done any running since June of last year.

I say we all just get a big massive group together for morning jogs or something. Haha. As long as no one talks while they run, I'm good. I can never carry on a conversation while I'm breathing that hard. Haha.

YES. I'm totally in. Running outside--especially in the mornings during the summer--is infinately better than running on tredmills. And if the group is big enough, people can break off into smaller pace-groups. My favorite pace is "conversation pace" where you are going slow enough to hold a conversation in full sentences, but still at a descent rate.

Ok. So on the 7th we're starting our running group. Hahaha. Hopefully there'll be less pollen then, b/c my allergies kill me.

Lol. I hate allergies with a passion. Yay! I'm really looking forward to this now. Forget courses and seminars...I'm going for the running. Haha. Kidding. But I'm still excited about it.

ugh Amen on the allergies thing...I hate allergies... and by conversation pace does that mean walking? because I can WALK and talk... if there are no hills...LOL still being outside sounds fun... but i'm moer of a jump rope type of athelete

Fantastic idea! I was worried that I would gain a million pounds from three FREE meals a day.

My goal for this summer (although I don't know how much of a reality it will actually become b/c my goals tend to change at six o'clock in the morning) is to wake up early every morning and go for a run

I play cello too We're allowed to bring instruments to Gov School even if we're in humanities, right? Because even though I'm not in VPA, I can't go a month without practicing, especially with Regionals auditions in September.
