I think (but im not positive) that we pick one from each. The writing at the very top when you click the link kinda suggests that maybe. . . but like i said idk for sure.

Interdisciplinary Course? Empty Re: Interdisciplinary Course?

The Interdisciplinary course meets daily for 90 minutes in the later afternoons and is team taught by two faculty member, one from humanities and one from arts. The seminar meets daily after lunch for 60 minutes and is taught by a single faculty member -- any student may take ANY interdisciplinary course (except one taught by his/her morning faculty -- you can't have the same teacher for your primary morning and afternoon classes). School of the Arts students may take any seminar taught by an arts faculty member, and Humanities students may take any seminar taught by a humanities faculty member. I know it sounds confusing, but it's really pretty simple if you go one step at a time. Think through your choices carefully -- not everyone will get his/her first choice, but it's pretty much assured that everyone will get one of your choices.

Interdisciplinary Course? Empty Re: Interdisciplinary Course?

Basically, everybody is in 3 classes which meet the entire month. The Core class is the morning block in either humanities or your art discipline and is sometimes subdivided, but we consider it one class. The other two classes as David mentioned meet in the afternoon.

Humanities students sign up for 3 classes which meet the entire month: a humanities core class, a seminar, and an interdisciplinary class.

Theatre students sign up for 3 classes: a theatre project group (part of their core class), a seminar, and an interdisciplinary class.

Dance students sign up for 2 classes in addition to their core dance class: a seminar and an interdisciplinary.

Visual art - same deal as dance (except their core class is visual art very happy )

Music students also sign up for a seminar and an interdisciplinary, have a core music class they are automatically in by virtue of their instrument (vocal, strings, etc.), and also have a music theory class (part of the core block) they select.

Don't know if I helped or made things more confusing.

For interdisciplinary, I signed up for Life Ain't No Crystail Stair. And then for the Humanities seminar, I signed up for Criminology 101. Foreign Policy is my core class. What did the rest of you guys sign up for?
