The rules are simple.

1. Look at the pictures before you post.

2. If you laugh, you lose.

3. If you lose, post how far you got.

4. If you didn't post more pictures (there's a button above the text field, near the middle, when you hit reply; or you can just put [img] pasted url of the image [(slash)img], except that the "(slash)" is a / . (If I just type it normally it'll try to make it an image and bad things will happen).

I'll start:

Particularly for the visual arts students: Share your philosophies, themes, interests, everything about the brilliant art that you make. Do you make sculpture? Draw in ink? Spend globs of money on oil paint? Paint for the beauty of that glint of yellow you can see in a red apple? What inspires you? In all, what defines you as a growing artist?

At the humble request of Mike, and, or course, my own curiosity, I feel that it is high time that the visual arts students get to share their creations! I was hoping that more of us would surface before I started this, but I suppose that quantity shouldn't be confused with quality!

Any work is welcome! Adjudication portfolios, AP submissions, Scholastics pieces, current stuff, or work in progress! Share it all! And critiques are invited and welcome, but, as always, keep it constructive please.

Well, both humanities and performing arts now have their own threads. If you are a visual arts student, please represent our discipline by introducing yourself here! A name, where you're from, and any other tidbits would be fun to share!

I'm Natalie.

I live really close to Richmond and go to a year round Governor's school in the city.

I have braces (yuck).

My art completely changed after reading The Fountainhead.

I ate a sun dried tomato bagel this morning. Yum!

With all of the humanities students on the Discussion Board, I'm surprised that this subject has not been breached yet. I understand that politics can be a personal, sensitive, and passionate topic, but as the next generation of leaders, I feel that it is also a topic that we cannot afford to ignore. Therefore, enthusiastic, rousing debate is encouraged; any insults or personal attacks are frowned upon. I'm interested to hear what our young, brilliant minds have to say on current events, historical ...

I'm pretty sure everyone who is an IB student has been told to work on their Extended Essay over the summer, so I was thinking, since we'll have access to CNU's library at Governor's School we should try to take advantage of that and get at least something done for our Extended Essays. Or embarrass yourself, but none of us would purposely do that to you!

I'll start: You know the loose hair on the bottom of the bathroom floor? My biggest fear (maybe not "fear", but this distresses me the most) is STEPPING ON LOOSE HAIRS AND GETTING THEM STUCK TO MY FEET. I literally walk on the sides of my feet to get out of the bathroom.
